My Audacity for Hope: That Obama Will Change His Mind About “The Freedom of Choice” Act

The election is finally over. Barack Obama will be out next President.

On one hand, I am glad that an African-American man is President. It shows how far our country has come in terms of racial equality and acceptance.

On the other hand, I am grieved, because America has just elected the most Pro-Abortion President in history. One of his first intiatives as President will be to pass the “Freedom of Choice” Act.

What is the Freedom of Choice Act?

Senator Barbara Boxer, co-sponser of the bill, has said: “The Freedom of Choice Act supercedes any law, regulation or local ordinance that impinges on a woman’s right to choose. That means a poor woman cannot be denied the use of Medicaid if she chooses to have an abortion.” In other words, state governments and the federal government would be mandated to fund abortion with taxpayer money. So, if you pay taxes, you will be supporting abortion.

Here is Obama talking about the “Freedom of Choice” act.

Obama’s website changed it’s homepage yesterday after the results of the election were in to read, “Change can Happen.” I do hope that change can happen, and I hope and pray that President Obama will change his mind about passing the “Freedom of Choice” act.

T-Mobile’s G1: Close to iPhone?

Is the new G1, powered by Google’s Android, going to be even close to the iPhone? I hope it is, because I have T-Mobile… Check out this article on it.

From what the article says, the strength of the G1 will be the G1 Market, which acts like Apple’s App Store. The only difference is it will be much more open than the App store.

Porn-Again Christian

In a very frank and provocative way, Mark Driscoll addresses the struggle of many Christians with pornography.

The e-book, available here, will be released in the upcoming months. I think this is a good read for any guy, even if you are not struggling with pornography.

Here is a sample from the first chapter:

Meanwhile, the church alone has access to the living water from God’s perfect Word, but largely fails to teach men masculinity in any area, particularly regarding their sexuality.
