Scenic Hawaii!
Posted: December 4, 2011 Filed under: Life in General Leave a comment »We went to Hawaii a couple of months ago, and it was great! It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. I really love that it combines two of my favorite things, mountains and beaches, and puts them into one amazing place.
By the time we arrived in Kauai it was night time. We knew we had a an ocean front view, but with no lighting, couldn’t tell what was outside our windows. So, it was amazing when we woke up to this view:
Remember the old show “Fantasy Island”?
Well, here is the waterfall that was used in the opening sequence!
Also on Kauai is the Waimea Canyon. You have to drive quite a way up, but it is worth it! Mark Twain called the Waimea Canyon the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific.”
One of the “must sees” in Kauai is the Na Pali coastline. It reminds me a lot of scenes from “Jurassic Park”, where they are flying in the helicopter to the island. To truly view it, you ahve to see it from a helicopter tour or by boat. We didn’t do either, but got a glimpse of it from one of the lookouts from the Waimea Canyon.
Spouting Horn, also on Kauai, is a hole where waves crash and cause a spurt of water to shoot into the sky. Pretty neat!
Back at the suite, the sun is setting, and it is magical!
I could just sit at any of these places and just be there for hours soaking it all in. The videos don’t do it justice, but I’ll have to settle for it until we can go back!
Mr. Miyagi Costume!
Posted: November 16, 2011 Filed under: Life in General 2 Comments »For Halloween, I decided to dress up as Mr. Miyagi. I was going for intentional comedy and hoping for a repeat victory in our annual company costume contest. Also thought it would be awesome if I could get Isaiah to dress up as the Karate Kid.
The most interesting piece in the costume is the shirt, which is an actual shirt my mom gave me to wear, NORMALLY and NOT for a COSTUME. Thanks mom!
I did not end up winning the costume contest, but it was fun dressing up as Mr. Miyagi!

From what the article says, the strength of the G1 will be the G1 Market, which acts like Apple’s App Store. The only difference is it will be much more open than the App store.
