Today is one of those days that changes everything. My life has been somewhat of a roller-coaster the past week. I woke up dreading the day, because it meant the beginning of a period which is wasn’t looking forward to. Thought of this period just saddened me at work. Then, things change 180 degrees. Everything is OK. Actually, more than OK, things are great! Thank the Lord!
Don’t you hate it when people post personal stuff but don’t really leave details so if you don’t know what’s going on, you don’t know. I’ll just leave it at that.
The O-Youts have a new blog! There will be devos posted there daily, except when I’m in California this week…
Speaking of California, I don’t know when we will be flying. There is a dumb hurricane coming, and I am not sure if our flight will get canceled or not. I remember when I was little, (actually, maybe even just a few years ago) I thought hurricanes were really fun. But now, I realize how sucky they are. We had hurricane parties during them, and although they were really fun, people were losing their homes and even their lives. Man, that sucks. I guess that is a microcosm of how we are in America. The rest of the world is dying and we are having a party in a suburban house with all our friends, having a good ole’ time. Sorry to be such a drag. Call me Debbie Downer.
This is like the funniest one ever…cause they are all cracking up!
This is yet another school project. This is actually one of my favorites. It is an animatic, which basically means that it shows what is supposed to happen in an animated piece. The animatic is just to get the camera angles, shots, etc. before you actually make the final animation. Ya, it is a long process. Thanks to all who helped out with my little cartoon. It is a tribute to Encyclopedia Brown, and at the time I was really digging the Disney cartoon Fillmore. Enjoy!
Sometimes I wonder if time moves by at the same speed for everyone. There are many times when I will feel it has been a fast week and someone else will be like, “Ya, it has!” and other times it will be a SUPER LONG WEEK and other people will be like, “I know!”. Or, I wonder if it’s just cause the people I ask are influenced by the same things as me, that’s why we feel the same thing. That’s probably a more reasonable answer.
I haven’t been updating the past couple of says because I had no internet for 2 days. One thing I hate about DSL is the frequency that it get messed up. I remember when I was living in the Woodlands how either Marshall or Brian would always be telling me that the internet was down, and I always had to call the tech guy to fix it. It is pretty funny to me that every tech guy does things differently. How the heck do they know what’s going on? Well, sometimes you get those good tech guys, and you’ll be done in like 5 minutes. Other times, you get the guy in India, and he is doing the whole “C as in charlie, O as in omega” thing and it will take like an hour. That is really frustrating.
Next week, I will be in California for my cousin’s wedding. Do you guys remember the Wendy’s Airtran Promotion? Well, we are flying on tickets we got from that. Not too shabby. I’m glad I met that one guy who kept giving me a stack of cups everytime I went to Wendy’s. I am glad we got the tickets, because I saw people selling the cups on eBay and was afraid that Wendy’s and Airtran might stop the promotion all together. I’m glad they didn’t. ^_^
Here is a Bible study I did for the youth group a couple weeks ago. Read, if you want to and you have time.
The First Miracle of Jesus- John 2:1-12
Here’s a summary of Busch Gardens:
Here’s a video of us on Montu…I’m the one saying “I’m gonna die…” ^_^
I have some more old school projects, which I will post up periodically. I really enjoyed making these videos when I was in school. I really enjoy putting video with music. I think my dream job would be making music videos, but good ones with very good concepts, not just girls dancing around and nice cars. And not just the band playing the song, or a music video where the whole video is of the artist in the recording studio. (LAME) Anyways, here is a video to the song “If We Are The Body” by Casting Crowns. The video for this one was pretty straight-forward, since the song is so visually descriptive. I hope you understand it, and if you don’t, I’ll be happy to explain it. Special thanks to all those who were in my video, including Jessie and Bill, the “stars” of the video.
If I had the time, there are some many things I would love to do to this video to make it better. Oh well, live and learn.
Today I got my first pay check at my new job! Thank God!
I haven’t been since I was in 9th grade, and I had to ride all the rides by myself because Deb was too small and my parents weren’t wild enough anymore. I am really excited about riding Skeikra, which is Florida’s tallest roller-coaster. Awesome…
