The Supremacy of Christ in a Postmodern WorldPosted: August 15, 2006
I am so glad to hear that John Piper (my all-time hero, next to Jesus, of course) has decided to do his next conference on Postmodernism. I feel as a Christian, that although we as Christians address so many problems to Postmodernism, (like how no one believes in abosulte truth, how some believe in many ways to God, etc.) we really haven’t been able to engage it in a way that is helpful. I feel that we take to extremes, with one side saying that we don’t need to address Postmodernism and another side that says the church needs to be more Postmodern. I actually don’t know too much about Postmodernism, which is another problem we Christians face. I am really looking forward to the conference, and even though I won’t be able to go, I’ll probably buy the messages on CD or something. If you have time, check out the videos on there. They are really good, and not too long.
They also have a blog (which, btw, is also hosted on the wonderful WordPress), if you want to check it out.
